Pacers Athletic Center Families,

We have followed all of the COVID-19 news closely in order to provide the best experience for our players, families, and staff upon our return. Now that we have seen the Governor’s guidelines, we have a plan for our return to basketball! Cleaning and sanitation has always been a priority at PAC, as our facility is deep cleaned nightly. We will continue these practices and add extra steps to protect everyone to the best of our abilities, while still delivering a great basketball experience.

-If you are showing any symptoms of illness, or have been near anyone confirmed as positive for COVID-19, please stay home to protect others.
-Hand sanitizer and hand soap are available, please wash hands and sanitize regularly.
-Please maintain a distance of 6 feet or greater.
-Masks are required for all spectators and coaches.
-We will start the week of May 24, as recommended by the state.
-Players will be asked to bring their own basketballs and wipe them down before practice. This will limit the number of people touching equipment throughout the day.
-One parent per kid can attend practice if they choose. Per state orders, parents must wear a mask.
-Coaches will wear masks during practices.

-IYBL Summer League will begin on June 21st, in accordance with the state guidelines.

-The building will only be allowed to have 250 people inside during Phase 4, beginning June 19. We will allow ONE parent/guardian per player to attend. This will keep our per court numbers low and give people plenty of space to spread out with six feet or more space.

-Games will be played with 18 minute running halves, but scheduled so that there is 15 minutes of time in between sets of games to allow for cleaning. Benches, scorer’s tables, and clock will all be sanitized in between each game.

-Do NOT enter building until doors are propped open. Doors will be locked 5 minutes into game play, and propped open when the next round of games are allowed to enter. Please exit promptly after your game so the next round can begin to enter the building.

-Referees and all PAC employees will be temperature checked upon arrival to the facility.

-The basketball being used in the game will be sanitized before the game, at halftime, and postgame.

-There will be no post-game handshake line to prevent extra contact.

-Games will also be available for purchase on PlaySight, whether you livestream or get VOD afterwards. This will give people the option to watch without entering the building.

-Facemasks will be required for all spectators and coaches. Players fall under the “strenuous activity” category and will not be required to wear a mask while playing.

-PAC employees will be wearing facemasks.

-Hand sanitizer will be available for all fans and players.

-Basketball tournaments will start on June 19. Each tournament operator will have their own list of protocols, all following the state guidelines in each respective phase.
-Masks will be required for all spectators.

-We will host our basketball camps in June, July, and August.
-We will limit the number of campers for each session to stay within the safety guidelines recommended by the state, adjusting with each phase.
-Any equipment used will be sanitized throughout the camp day.

We look forward to having everyone back at PAC!
